Michelle Hopkins - Owner/Senior Engineer

Sagetek Consulting was founded in 2001 by owner Michelle Hopkins. Michelle has over 13 years of experience in the semiconductor industry. She has established herself as a senior ASIC engineer through several years of experience with companies such as NCR, Adaptec and ST Microelectronics. While at NCR she participated in the design of industry's first SSA (Serial Storage Architecture) controller. Michelle has extensive experience in the mass storage market. She has worked on many disk drive controllers where she specialized in interface logic such as IDE and SCSI.

Since Michelle started consulting, she has gained broad experience in the design flow of today's high-performance ASIC industry. Michelle quickly adapts to the customer's technology and tool set in order to provide thorough and timely results.

Michelle holds a BS in Electrical Engineering Technology from Texas Tech University and a MS in Electrical Engineering from the University of Iowa. Michelle is an IEEE and SWE Member.

Christy Cope - SPHR

Christy Cope is a Human Resources professional with over 15 years experience in all facets of the field. Her Human Resources career began in San Francisco working for a large financial firm. She later moved to Colorado where she entered the high-tech and manufacturing arenas. In 2002, she earned her Senior Professional of Human Resources Certification through the Human Resources Certification Institute. Prior to becoming an independent consultant, Christy was the Corporate Director of Human Resources for a multi-site manufacturing organization with the responsibility of overseeing Human Resources activities from both the corporate and site levels. Christy's areas of expertise include the development and management of Human Resources policies, processes and organizational structure for start-up and small organizations, staffing and recruitment, training and development, employee relations and benefit and compensation plan design.

Born and raised in Southern California, Christy graduated from Cal Poly, San Luis Obispo with a degree in Psychology and Human Development in 1990. She lives in Lyons, CO with her husband and two children.
